Frequently asked questions

AI views are AI-generated custom views for your tables in Superhuman Docs. Instead of choosing from built-in view types like grids, calendars, or cards, you describe the view or tool you need in plain language and Docs builds it on your live table data — a triage board, a heatmap, a check-in kiosk, a dashboard. Because every AI view reads from and writes to the same underlying table, your data stays in sync across all of them.

No. You build an AI view simply by describing what you want by chatting with AI — no code, no setup, and no technical background required. If you can describe the tool your team needs, AI views can build it.

AI views is in open beta and available to all workspaces (unless AI has been disabled for yours). Start using them in any of your Superhuman Docs. Doc Makers on Pro, Team/Business, and Enterprise plans have unlimited access — they can create and use as many AI views as they like at no extra charge. Free workspace members and Editors in paid workspaces can create one AI view each, and can use existing AI views without limit.

AI views build on your Superhuman Docs tables, and can also work with data you’ve synced from tools like Jira, Asana, and Salesforce. Because a view reads directly from the live table, any change to your data flows through to every view built on it. Which means your view data will never be out of date.

Yes. AI views are collaborative by default. Teammates work in the same view in real time, and because the view knows who’s signed in, one table can power a personal “My tasks” view for each person and a shared “All tasks” view for the whole team. Anyone can also create their own view of the same data without affecting yours.

An AI view is as secure as any doc you share. It runs on vetted, handpicked frameworks and reaches your data through Superhuman’s secure Packs platform, with built-in controls and observability. You decide exactly who can open it by sharing the doc, backed by Superhuman’s authentication — so only the people you invite have access.

Internally, we’ve built a number of useful tools:

  • Sales built a VIP dinner seating chart with live self–check-in, so guests find and take their own seats in real time.

  • Marketing built a multi-step intake form that branches to different questions based on each answer.

  • Engineering built an LLM-cost dashboard with sliders and heatmaps to model spend before committing to it.

  • Product built topography charts to visualize effort, risk, and value on their product roadmap.

  • Leadership built a resource planner that lays out different scenarios side by side.

Reach out to our sales teams if you’d like to learn more about any of the specific examples.
